Quietly nestled amongst peaceful surroundings is the hidden gem, ?Brunonia?.
A 40 hectare (100 acre approx.) native wonderland, Brunonia includes a 1.66 hectare (4.1 acre) area for development of a dwelling, house dam etc. S.T.C.A. It predominantly consists of an ironstone base and is covered by a Trust For Nature covenant to assist in the protection of its extensive native Flora and Fauna.
Brunonia is a leading example of natural bushland in this area and is a haven for native animals and birds. It is home to rare orchids and Billy Buttons and numerous other groundcover plants as well as native birds, echidnas, goannas, sugar gliders, wallabies, kangaroos etc. Enjoy listening for bird calls and the occasional rustle of leaves as lizards scurry by. The spectacular Xanthorrhoea glauca, one of the larger grass trees, have been thriving there for many years.
Tracks throughout the property allow for vehicle access. The established Red and Grey Box, Ironbark and Stringybark bushland can be explored for days. There are two dams, the larger one includes a well established wetland.
The property is almost weed free and has good boundary fencing, additionally, there are three internally fenced areas that are successfully protecting the regeneration of groundcover plants.
Brunonia is a beautiful example of natural bushland, and justifies its protection through a Trust for Nature Covenant.
