This renovated Bungalow is located just across the road from Cowley Beach, a fisherman Paradise, and one of the most peaceful beachside villages on the Far North Coastline. The 2021 Census says the population was 65 people. I estimate it may be more like 150 but you get the idea. A peaceful, quiet beach village where hardly anything ever comes up for sale. The people who live there just never want to leave. Unfortunately for this owner work has taken him to Victoria so his loss can be your gain.
This 3 bedroom home has a new kitchen and a modern bathroom and is tiled throughout. It is fully air-conditioned and enjoys a wonderful outdoor covered deck which, shaded by established trees it gets dappled sun and a beautiful coastal breeze. When the day is done this is where you will relax with a beer and exaggerate how big the fish are. The house has been painted and is light and bright. There is a drive-through double carport and a large shed in the backyard which has access through the reserve. Solar panels provide power and the yard has a bore for watering and the gardens are lovely. There is not a cent to spend.
The home is currently tenanted with A-grade tenants who would love to stay. Who could blame them? They have a lease until the end of January and pay $380 per week.
Cowley Beach is the closest coastal point to the Barnard Islands where you can camp and have a BBQ. There is a boat ramp and a community club where the locals tend to gather on a Friday night. It also has a caravan park and that is about it. It is just 20 20-minute drive to Innisfail with its national retailers and medical facilities and even closer to Silkwood with its shops, post office, and hotel.
Living here your troubles will disappear and your pace will slow down.
