Completed and opened in April 1954 the Berrybank Presbyterian Church was built to replace its forerunner, a timber Church destroyed by 1944 bushfires. To avoid history repeating itself, this newer version has been constructed of solid clinker brick (triple brick internal and external walls), terracotta tile roof and can only be described as a fastidious conversion to a warm and comfortable dwelling yet sympathetic to the buildings original features. A mix of the old - lead light windows exposed oregon beams, cathedral ceilings while the altar is now a modern sun-drenched kitchen while the original nave serves as a spacious dining and living area. Comfort is enriched by a central modern bathroom and the former vestry serves as master bedroom. The character of the 2200M2 (0.54 Acres) block is enhanced with the original outbuildings and some established shade trees.
