If night rolls around and you don't feel like cooking you can stroll back into 'town' to enjoy dinner prepared by the chefs at one of the local restaurants or hotels. If you are a budding master chef yourself, you will appreciate the big gas range in the kitchen and the established vegetable and herb gardens. There's also a great selection of productive fruit trees, and if you want to be completely self sufficient you could run your own stock in the paddocks bordered by Ford Creek. The neighbour's cattle are currently keeping the grass down but perhaps you want to set up the property for your horses. Mansfield Pony Club events are held just next door on the other side of the showgrounds.
